Before the first booking, Cat Mom will normally arrange an introductory meeting at the client's home.
During this visit, the client's requirements, the cat's routine, feeding, medication, veterinary information, emergency arrangements and home access will be discussed.
The client may be asked to complete and confirm a cat sitting information and care form.
Booking
A website enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Bookings are confirmed only after Cat Mom has communicated with the client, agreed the dates and services required, and confirmed acceptance of the booking.
Prices and payment
The price of the service will be confirmed before the booking.
Payment may be made:
-
using the payment link provided on the invoice;
-
by Monzo bank transfer; or
-

Any additional services or costs will be discussed with the client before being charged wherever reasonably possible.
Cancellation by the client
Clients may cancel a booking by contacting Cat Mom as soon as possible.
Where a confirmed booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the first scheduled visit, Cat Mom reserves the right to charge 100% of the agreed booking fee.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the first scheduled visit will not normally incur this cancellation charge.
This cancellation policy does not affect any statutory cancellation or consumer rights that apply under UK law.
Services beginning within a statutory cancellation period
Where a client asks Cat Mom to begin providing services during any statutory cancellation period that applies to the booking, the client may be asked to expressly request that the service begins during that period.
Where permitted by law, the client may be required to pay for services already supplied before a valid cancellation.
Access to the property
The client is responsible for providing safe and reliable access to the property.
Keys, access codes and other security information will be handled with appropriate care and used only for the purpose of providing the agreed service.
The client must inform Cat Mom of any alarm systems, access restrictions or relevant security requirements before the booking begins.
Cat care
The client agrees to provide accurate and complete information about their cat's health, temperament, behaviour, feeding requirements and routine.
Sufficient food, litter, medication and other necessary supplies must be available for the duration of the booking.
Medication
Cat Mom may administer medication where this has been agreed in advance and clear instructions have been provided.
The client remains responsible for ensuring that medication is correctly supplied, labelled and accompanied by appropriate instructions.
Cat Mom cannot guarantee that medication can be successfully administered where a cat refuses treatment or where doing so would place the cat or sitter at unreasonable risk.
Veterinary emergencies
If Cat Mom believes that a cat requires urgent veterinary attention, reasonable attempts will be made to contact the owner or nominated emergency contact first.
After discussing the situation with the owner wherever reasonably possible, Cat Mom may take the cat to the veterinary practice nominated by the owner.
Where the nominated veterinary practice is unavailable and urgent treatment is reasonably required, another appropriate veterinary provider may be contacted.
Veterinary fees and related costs remain the responsibility of the owner.
